Tuesday Shoesday – Colour blocking trend

According to this week’s Heat magazine, colour blocking has now extended from a simple fashion trend, into a footwear story too. Celebs such as Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian have been spotted in multi-coloured heels and Cheryl Cole has been sporting the crazy-colour-clashing look in her music video for Call My Name in these £500 Brian Atwood platforms.

If you want to get the look, but don’t want to break the bank, here’s a few high street bargains that follow the trend (which, by the way, will continue into Autumn/Winter so you’ll get a lot of wear out of your new heels!) from Faith, Topshop and Debenhams - and some a little more garish (wear with your animal prints for ultimate clash!) from Dune, New Look and ASOS:

  1. I love that this trend has reached shoe fashion. I like it on stilletoes, but less with wedges.

  2. I love the pastel coloured ones, the first pic! lovely and girlie and perfect for the summer candy colour trend that is everywhere at the mo!xXx
