It’s festival season ~ Next up: Latitude Festival in Suffolk

Its less than two weeks to go until this year’s Latitude Festival, which is technically my ‘local’ festival, being held just up-the-road at Henham Park, near Southwold in Suffolk. I’ve been a Latitude festival fan since I first went in 2008 and it’s grown considerably over the years – probably due to its family-friendly-ness and its always being featured in ‘best-festivals’ lists in the Sunday supplements and women’s glossy magazines.

This year’s Latitude Festival runs from 12th – 15th July with some amazing headline acts including Paul Weller, Elbow and Bon Iver, but personally I am more interested in the comedy arena which features some of my favourite comedians; Tim Michin (who played Snape Proms last year), Greg Davies and Jack Dee. And of course the most important question is what to wear? and the answer is always fancy dress! Here’s some of my pics from previous Latitude Festivals and you’ll notice that fancy dress is pretty important to us!

So don’t forget to stock up on your fancy dress and bring some pocket-money for the yummy food, local drinks and Latitude souvenirs available on site. Unfortunately, unless I can save up the cash for a ticket in a hurry I won’t be able to go this year, but there are still last-minute tickets available and I’d 100% recommend it for visitors of all ages; there really is something for everyone! Personally I think it’s an oversight that the organisers don’t offer a ‘local residents’ free tickets scheme haha! ;o)
