Its Wimbledon this week and the Olympics are just around the corner so I thought I’d focus this week’s Tuesday Shoesday on sports shoes. But I’m not just talking trainers (although we all love a no-hassle comfy plimsoll every now and then), I mean über-glam footwear – high-heeled sports shoes!

Wedge-heeled trainers (such as these above designed by Isabel Marant and Marc Jacobs) are a key look for this season’s sports luxe trend and are being snapped up by celebrities worldwide including Beyoncé, Alicia Keys and Miranda Kerr (above). Some are designed to look like trainers on the outside with a hidden heel on the inside offering extra height and leg-lengthening properties, where other designs have brazenly added a big wedge heel to a standard sports pump. Here’s some wedge-trainers from Jules B, Adidas and Puma plus some glitzy stiletto Nikes too! Amazing what different varieties of sexy-sport-shoe you can buy if you’ve got enough spare cash!

 

And finally, here’s a slightly less-glam version of the heeled-sports-shoe; it’s a stiletto heel designed in the style of stepped-in chewing gum. Eew!
