Firework fingers nail polish

I have decided to go all glittery for bonfire night and create a firework effect on my nails. I began with Opia Nail Laquer from Primark in a sparkly midnight blue. The bottle recommends applying two coats but this polish was so thin that I needed at least 3 coats to get a dark ‘night-sky’ shade. I then painted each of my nails with a different ‘firework’ sparkle. My index finger has one coat of Eyeko Disco Polish in silver – a very dense glitter but a little bit too thick and clumpy to apply easily. My middle finger was painted with Models Own polish in ‘Disco Mix’ – a blue and purple glitter topcoat that delivered masses of sparkle with only one coat – definitely my favourite, but it is the most pricey. My ring finger has my new ‘Gold Flecked’ topcoat from Avon – again only one coat providing a great firework explosion of glitter. And finally my little finger was painted in the same polish in a fuchsia purple shade.

Having finished painting my nails for bonfire night I have realised that it’s quite possible that no-one will see my nail-art efforts, as I intend to be well bundled up with fluffy mittens on my hands to keep me warm tonight. Oh well, at  least I know they’re there, sparkling away under my gloves.

  1. Thanks, we saw some amazing fireworks on bonfire night! The nail polishes with the big glitter flecks are new Avon ones from the Colour Trend range so they are bargain prices! x
