You may remember that I started blogging about this inspirational campaign back in January and have been sharing my own ideas of ways to be kind to yourself. I began by writing about my wardrobe, and the ways that I planned to revamp my look for a stylish 2016. This blog post included ideas for tidying, organising, repairing and investing in my clothes to make them last longer and help me look better all year round. I also wrote about the research I’d read into the lives of women, and discovered that 88% of women criticise themselves in ways they would never consider doing to other women.prize hamper giveawayThe results of this survey (and the #WomanKind video) really inspired me plan to treat myself with the same kind of care and compassion that I treat others with and got me thinking about ways of living well. Of course – as a die-hard thrifty gal – I had to think about ways of doing this on a budget, so I went on to share ideas for finding amazing party shoes without splashing too much cash on payday. Yes, it CAN be done, ladies! And if you shop smartly you might never need to buy any more party shoes again, sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? Well, it IS possible so check out my Tuesday Shoesday blog post to find out how!prize competition giveaway hamperOf course, I couldn’t talk about being kind to yourself without discussing healthy living, so last Pieday Friday I shared lots of delicious (and good-for-you) recipes. I also discussed some of the things I do to live a healthy life while still eating meals that aren’t dull. Check out my mealtime (and treat!) tips in this blog post and join me as I kick-start my healthy eating plan for 2016. 7. I joined weight watchers three weeks ago and am loving the new holistic approach they have to weight loss, I do love exercising outdoors, walking the dog and joggin but I also enjoy taking time for myself reading a novel or colouring in the evening

  8. #WomanKind Don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself. Keep fighting for your dreams!

  9. #WomanKind If you don’t feel like doing something thats often a sign that you should do it. Push yourself to get out there and do things, live life to the full, you only get one!

  14. meringue nests with fat free fromage frais and berries..not as naughty as you think! #womankind

  15. I always find the song lyrics to Des’ree’s You Gotta Be inspirational. #WomanKind “Listen as your day unfolds, challenge what the future holds. Try and keep your head up to the sky”

  16. #womankind learn to love yourself and be content and the right kind of people will find you. Oh and a glass of rum and coke and a good salsa lesson helps oodles.

  17. My favourite way to relax & stay fit working on my core muscles is to practise yoga regularly. Drink plenty of water daily & stick to your sleeping routine.

  18. A pretty face gets old, a nice body will change. But a good woman will always be a good woman

  19. #WomanKind Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.

  20. I have to say after years of rushing around, one day the words of a favourite poem really truly hit home and I’ve incorporated them into my lifestyle ever since. The poem is Leisure by WHDavies, “what is this life, if full of care, we have no time to stand and stare”. Now I take time for the small things, even if that is just sipping a coffee watching the garden birds. #WomanKind

  21. #WomanKind…..After exercising have a break and relax with Weight Watchers snack and glass of water. Well deserved.

  22. Eat only when you are hungry, and don’t eat whilst doing other things, make time for it. That way when you are doing something else it takes your mind of eating rather than encourages you to snack whilst doing it.

  23. #WomanKind Aim high but do it in small steps. Want to lose 3 stone? Aim for 1lb a week or a fortnight. It will take time this way but far better than being disheartened by not achieving a 3-4 ilb a week target 🙂

  24. #WomanKind My favourite quote – “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” –Walt Disney

  25. Don’t compare yourself to others, we are all wonderful in our own way, we can’t all be supermum / supercook / super career woman #WOMANKIND

  26. #WomanKind Be kind to yourself everyday. Focus on what you have done to make someone happy (even if it’s just cooking fish fingers!) or what you have achieved (even if it’s just some ironing). Count your successes and focus on the positive.

  27. Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time – TS Elliot. #womenkind
Always reminds me no matter how busy life gets it is so important to take time out to be unproductive and relax with loved ones – or just a bit of simple ‘me time’ each day 🙂

  28. Always remember you were loved the moment you were born regardless of what happens in your life you were/ are loved so why shouldn’t you love yourself I also have always loved this quote “The woman who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd. The woman who walks alone is likely to find herself in places no one has ever been.” –Albert Einstein. women need to be strong and accept yourself as no one is perfect #WomenKind my main tip would be to do one thing a day that brings you joy whether it’s for you or someone else

  29. #WomanKind if you slip up and over indulge a little, do not beat yourself up about it, tomorrow is another day 🙂

  30. I love this quote: “If ever there’s a tomorrow when we’re not together, there’s something you must remember: you’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” 🙂 #WomanKind

  31. #WomanKind Instead of focusing on the negative, as in “I need to lose weight”, it is better to be more positive and work toward developing healthier habits and a healthier lifestyle.

  32. #WomanKind My tip is to learn to love yourself as a woman again. We become Wives/Mothers etc, but forget we’re women.

  33. If you use heat on your hair everyday, cut down to a couple of days a week to bring back those healthy locks.

  34. Weight loss is not the key to your dreams. The truth is there is no lock and the door is flimsy. #WomanKind

  35. Try to spend at least 30 minutes a day doing some form of exercise for me it helps my mindset no end and helps motivate for what needs to be done. #WomanKind

  36. My daughter is my inspiration she makes me want to work hard to achieve a better life for us and to be a better, kinder person.

  37. Eat what you want, but in moderation. Enjoy that glass of wine, but don’t drink the whole bottle!

  38. Everything in moderation – don’t completely deprive yourself of what you really want to eat – treat yourself at least once a week or you will be miserable! #WomanKind

  39. 1. Buy a juicer, preferably a slow juicer, and substitute dinner once or twice a week for a large glass of freshly juiced vegetables. If you don’t like the earthy taste of some vegetables, whisk in a little fresh lemon juice and a dash of good quality olive oil into the juice and drink straight away.
    2. Buy inexpensive skincare products. There is no scientific evidence that expensive products work better than inexpensive ones. Aldi’s Lacura range is a good range to try.

  40. Mostly it’s about habit, get into the habit of eating well, and get into the habit of feeling good about yourself. #WomanKind

  41. Occasional indulgence is a good thing! Drink plenty of water and always have at least one book on the go 🙂

  42. ‪#‎WomanKind‬ soya milk and rice pasta, for allergies, yummy to the palate and good for the belly #WomanKind

  43. Don’t ignore your tummy signals! Just because you have enough points for it, doesn’t mean you are actually hungry for it. If you are eating for any reason other than hunger, you will never be full because you aren’t listening to what your body actually wants. Maybe it wants a walk, or a bath, or a hug, or a 10k run. #WomanKind

  44. I had managed to lose around 12 stone a few years back but since having my little boy some of it had crept back on so at the start of the year I took the bull by the horns and jumped back on it….fresh fruit, at least 2 litres of water and food cooked from scratch every day….feeling the benefits and 2 stone down!

  45. I like to think I am helping future #WomanKind by bringing up my daughter to be confident, strong and kind to herself & others

  46. #WomanKind Each day do something that makes you happy even it’s taking 5 minutes to sit down and have a cup of tea and a chocolate biscuit.

  47. ‘Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else.’ Judy Garland #WomanKind

  48. Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’! –
    Audrey Hepburn #WomanKind

  49. I love my little family. We have so much fun together, but every so often i need time with my two best friends. We’ve been friends since we were three and when we are together I feel free to be me and that is a wonderful feeling to have. #WomanKind

  50. Create a small vegetable garden using unwanted space in or outside your home. It can help you get fit, your kids can enjoy helping you grow and will help you save money and you get to eat cheap organic fresh goodies 🙂

  51. Time for me 🙂 At the end of the day a bath with my favourite oils, candle and a cup of oolong tea – perfect 🙂

  52. #WomanKind literally be kind to yourself. Forgive yourself for the mistakes you make and be true to yourself always

  53. #WomanKind Always treat other people the way you would want to be treated. SO important 🙂
Thanks for an incredible giveaway xx

  54. #Womankind Always be yourself and be happy with the skin your born in, everyone has imperfections but you should love them that’s what makes you. Be positive and enjoy life don’t waste it worrying about silly things life is for living.

  55. #WomanKind go for a walk, cycle or do something you enjoy. Exercising and having some fun is good for you.

  56. #Womankind being the best mum I can be to my two children, my life is so fulfilled and nobody can ever take this joy from me x

  57. Instead of worrying about having what people consider the perfect body we should be amazed by what our bodies can accomplish.

  58. I love to walk and walk whilst listening to some lively music or an audio book to lose myself in.

  59. #WomenKind Stay positive, happy and always look after yourselves as sometimes taking care of others we forget to take care of ourselves

  60. I stumbled across your blog whilst browsing as I am in the throws of trying to lose some weight and finding it hard to stay motivated. My tip would be not to be too hard on yourself if you “slip up” one day (or 2 in my case) with your diet just start again the next day.
