Create your own personalised room fragrance

Some items have been gifted

What better way to start the week than with a giveaway, right? And how better to lift your spirits and ease those Monday morning blues than with a bit of pampering? Yes, I think you all deserve a little bit of luxury this week so when the very kind folk at Bolsius Aromatic got in touch to offer some fabulous prizes for my lovely readers, I jumped at the ,chance. And that’s exactly what I’m sharing with you today, so read on to find out how you could win 1 of 2 luxurious prizes… scented candle wax melts room fragrance-12scented candle wax melts room fragrance-10The treat I’ve got in store for you is something to indulge your senses and fill your home with a little bit of luxury. We’ve all picked up scented candles in Ikea haven’t we? And we’ve all tried wax melts to fill our home with festive smells at Christmas, right? But the product I’m talking about today is something I’ve never seen before. It’s both of these things and neither at the same time. Creations is a scented wax melt kit that allows you to make an entirely customized scent for your home. In the same way that you might mix a handful of Jelly Beans to make a flavour, these melts allow you to adjust the scents to your own liking, and create a personalised room fragrance just for you.

With countless melts available – in this particular kit I found Green Apple, Exotic Mango, Sweet Strawberry, Sandalwood, Velvet Rose and French Lavender – the combinations of scents is endless. It gives you all the tools you need to be able to make a unique scent, and I think that’s a rather swish idea. I once watched an interior design documentary about the homes of millionaires, and how they would spend thousands of pounds to commission perfumiers to combine individual fragrances into candles so that their home had its own unique scent. The Creations kit is a way that you can achieve a similar effect in your own home, but without the shocking price tag.

The kit provides inspiration for different scent combinations to get your started. The Happy Mix adds three fruity flavours together for a fresh, holiday-inspired scent. The Balance Mix combines sandalwood, rose and lavender for a relaxing, spa-esque fragrance. For my first attempt I paired calming lavender with sweet strawberry and a tiny touch of zesty green apple, which produced a scent that reminded me of a traditional English country garden. Just lovely.

By adding just three to five segments to the ceramic infuser you can enjoy the fragrance for around ten hours and, of course, if you don’t want to burn it for that long, you can simply extinguish the candles flame and the wax will set solid again. So technically, you’ve mixed and melted the scents to create your very own personalised wax melt disc for later! scented candle wax melts room fragrance-11And now, here’s how you can win a Creations kit for yourself. I’ve got two kits to give away this week so there will be two lucky winners drawn at the end of the competition. There are plenty of ways that you can enter the giveaway via the Rafflecopter widget below and you could soon be pampering yourself with a relaxing scent combination of your own! Best of luck to you all!

  1. Its hard to beat the scent of a new baby! Apart from that vanilla and coconut 🙂

  2. Gosh, that’s tricky; there are so many. I would probably go for the heady aroma of freesia.
