DIY Easter bunny wreath for spring

How will the Easter bunny know where to deliver your chocolate eggs if you don’t hang a spring wreath on your door?? The whole Easter bunny thing is like Santa, right? Well, I don’t want to risk missing out on my chocolate goodies so I’ve been DIYing a wreath for spring this week and I’ve hung it on my caravan door already, just to be sure. diy spring wreath for easter caravan by cassiefairyThis floral wreath project couldn’t be more simple so I thought I’d share a quick DIY so that you can recreate it at home. I’ve picked up a few items from Country Baskets to create the wreath, which I’ve listed below in case you want to create an exact replica, but you could use different artificial (or real?) flowers in your wreath and add any accessories you like – spring chicks and Easter eggs work well too – but I particularly love my little beanie Easter bunny.diy spring wreath by Cassiefairy - componentsYou will need: a wreath base (this can be any type of ring but I chose to use this 30cm ‘welcome’ wreath because it was a great price for the size of ring), ivy garland, artificial flowers (I used a mixed bunch of daffodils and daisies), Easter rabbit (or chicks, ducks, eggs etc), Easter sign (from a set of 3 for just 99p!), yellow ribbon, scissors, glue gun and glue sticks.diy spring wreath by Cassiefairy step 1Step 1: Remove all the existing decoration from the ‘welcome’ wreath, although if you’ve got a plan wicker or foam wreath you won’t need to do this step.diy spring wreath by Cassiefairy step 2Step 2: Wrap the ivy garland around the wreath, securing the ends at the top with a blob of glue. This join can be covered by the ribbon that you’ll be using to hang the wreath so tie a length of yellow ribbon around the top of the wreath and finish with a bow at the front.diy spring wreath by Cassiefairy step 3Step 3: Trim the flower heads off the bunch of artificial flowers, leaving enough of a stalk on each head to push into the wreath base. Secure in place with a little glue from the glue gun if needed.diy spring wreath by Cassiefairy step 4Step 4: Glue the Easter sign across the centre of the wreath, securing with glue at each side.diy spring wreath by Cassiefairy step 5Step 5: Attach your Easter accessories to the bottom of the wreath using the glue gun to attach eggs, chicks or rabbits securely. diy spring wreath on caravan door by Cassiefairydiy spring wreath for easter by CassiefairyAnd there you have it! Simple, huh? I hopped outside to hang the wreath on the door of my little vintage caravan and almost immediately the sun came out and daffodils burst into bloom so I snapped some photos to share with you today.diy spring wreath for easter caravan 2Let me know if you have a go at making your own Easter wreath and I’d  love to see your photos so please tweet me your pics to @Cassiefairy.
