Tuesday Shoesday – My summer sale wishlist

Some items have been gifted

Can you believe the summer sales this year? Every shop I’ve been in this month has been pushing a 50% off discount with big red sale signs everywhere and it’s proving hard to resist! Even though I haven’t yet made any new purchases from the high street sales, (apart from, ahem, last month’s his ‘n’ hers Clarks bargains!) I have come up a list of my top 3 favourite styles to keep me focussed when I go shopping on payday.his and hers shoes mustard and rust from clarks summer sale 2015-2I prefer to shop this way because I’ve discovered that just the sight of a discount sign can whip me into a frenzy and I’ll buy just about anything if it’s on sale. Seriously, my wardrobe is full of things I’ve bought just because they were pretty and on sale, yet I’ve never worn them because I didn’t actually need them. Stepping away from the bargain bucket and taking the time to really think about what I need rather than what’s right in front of me is always a wise option. So instead of shopping the high street, I’ve come online to compile my ultimate summer same wish list. I may not even invest in these options but at least I’ve done my research and found out the best deals before spending my hard-earned cash.truffle collection jelly shoes summer sale at asosFirst up is a bit of a fashion fad for this summer but I really do want some more jelly shoes. Okay, I know I’ve already got some fabulous jelly shoes that my little sister bought me recently, but they have just been so comfortable that I really want some more. I went on a short holiday to a coastal town last weekend and the place was packed full of jelly shoes in the cheesy seaside shops. These are probably the exact same jelly shoes I’ve had my eye on since I was a child but I’ve still never invested in a pair. So today I’ve been looking at different colours and styles, and found a whole range of Truffle Collection jelly shoes discounted to only £8 and £10.50. I’ve concluded that this pair of heeled jellies are my next best friend. I love the fact that they’ll give ma little extra height and I know that I’ll wear them all summer long.wedding special occasion court shoes from summer sale

Next up is a summer essential, court shoes for weddings. I’ve got a couple of big celebrations to attend this summer and after trying on my dressiest shoes, I realised that the only ones that would be comfortable enough for a full-day of wearing are quite low, and black. Not the most suitable companion for my pastel floral wedding outfits! So I took a look at the court shoes at Brantano and there I was surprised to find Clarks shoes selling at a discounted price! I’m torn between these blue suede dolly shoes, pastel courts or a pair of pink suede heels from ASOS.floral pumps footwear summer sale

And finally, I actually do need a pair of comfortable pumps. I ruined my last pair by doing the gardening in them (I know, I wasn’t thinking…) and got them covered in mud. Even though I’ve given them a good scrub, they are still not really fit for anything more than wearing at home or, ironically, for doing gardening chores in. I found the lowest priced pumps at ASOS in their summer sale at £9.50, £7.50 and £8.50. I love the floral patterns but I’m thinking that I should really stick to a more ‘universal’ colour so that I can wear them all year round.

Have you gone on a spending spree in the summer sales this year? Let me know what bargains you’ve found – you never, know I might just want to get a pair for myself! Leave me a comment below or tweet me @cassiefairy
