Earlier this month I got the fantastic news that someone (I’ve no idea who – let me know if it was you so that I can thank you!) nominated my thrifty little blog for an Amara Interior Blog Award. Just knowing that someone out there was kind enough to put my name down for an award in this prestigious competition is exciting enough, but now the public vote is open and I need your help!
And most fantastic thing about this news is that I was nominated for the ‘Best Design Inspiration Blog’ award. In previous year, my blog has made it into the DIY and Craft shortlist so I’m really excited to have been considered for a different category too. Finally, all those hours on Pinterest are paying off!

To be perfectly honest – and not at all defeatist – I’m not sure that my little blog stands much of a chance, although I’m going to give it my best shot, of course! This is a very hotly contested category with oodles of wonderful, inspirational blogs in the running. Okay, there are 91 other blogs in the long-list. Yes, I counted.
So, you see what I mean? It’s a busy category in an international interior design competition so I’m absolutely over the moon just to be included with all those other great names in the world of design and blogging. Thank you SO much to whoever nominated me – whether it was one person or many of you – I just can’t thank you enough for believing in me.
