I’m feeling super-festive right now and it’s because the Christmas issue of Reclaim magazine is out now! And my Design Icon article this month is vintage baubles, including how to spot the genuine article…

If you’ve always wanted to have that retro Christmas tree of your childhood, this month’s Reclaim magazine is for you. I’ve written all about the origins of the humble bauble and have shared some tips for spotting original vintage decorations. Plus, the article provides inspiration for styling your retro baubles three different ways to show them off to best effect.

I was lucky enough to work with some fantastic bloggers on this month’s Design Icon piece, including Happy from HappyLovesRosie.com and Amy from CuterTudor.com. Their vintage Christmas displays inspired me to write this festive article and I couldn’t wait to share their beautiful photos of their holiday decor.

I was thrilled when Amanda Marie from SincerelyMarieDesigns.com agreed to be interviewed for my festive interiors article this month. She shared plenty of photos of her gorgeous home, beautifully styled for the holiday season. I learnt a lot about festive decorating from Amanda Marie, and I’m going to take a less-is-more approach this year, with plenty of real foliage from the garden (a great money-saving tip!).

Issue 33 of Reclaim magazine is on your newsagent’s shelves right now so pick up a copy until the 7th December. It comes with a fabulous gift guide too, and looks super-festive with a sparkling gold foil title. It’s making me feel all Christmassy just looking at it! Enjoy!
