Eeeee it’s so exciting! After many years of admiring the work of other Interior Blog Award winners – and even writing about some of their homes for Reclaim magazine – I’ve finally been nominated!

Please can you help me get through to the shortlist by voting for me??

This year there’s a category that suits my blog perfectly – the Best Creative Skill Blog. Here’s the IBA criteria for this award:

For lovers of all things handmade, the blogs nominated in this category are the best out there for craft and DIY inspiration. Whether it’s an entire room transformation, a furniture project or a crafting project, these blogs create unique interiors all on their own and show you how to do the same. Nominees for the Best Creative & Skill Blog Award should exhibit:

  • A focus on crafting projects or DIY projects such as whole room transformations
  • An emphasis on creating unique, handmade pieces yourself without outside help
  • Their own images of the completed projects

That sounds like my blog, doesn’t it? I certainly hope so anyway!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you think so too and would be willing to vote for me in the Interior Blog Awards this year??

Please vote for my blog via the button below (you can only vote once, so I really appreciate you giving me your vote!)

THANK YOU SO MUCH! – YOU ROCK!!!!

Now seems as good a time as any for me to reminisce about my previous projects and point you in the direction of some of my interior and garden DIYs – what do you think of these..?

Read about my upcycled kitchen. Since moving into my fixer-upper house I’ve painted the tatty old melamine units and I’ve shared a step-by-step video in case you fancy giving it a try too.

I’ve upcycled so many pieces of furniture that I’ve lost count! Have a look at all my furniture DIY projects here – many of which are accompanied by videos and LOADS of “how-to” photos.

My compact bathroom was the first thing we DIY’d when we moved in – after all, there’s good time to be without a toilet, is there?! You won’t believe the ‘before’ photos of this room (eww).

My garden was last on the renovation list so it’s still a work in progress but it’s certainly coming together with some upcycled scaffolding boards, an old cable reel from the skip, and plenty of pallets. In fact, if a project CAN be made out of pallet, I’ve probably given it a go! Even my original pallet bar has been upcycled twice to turn it into a plant bar this summer!

Oh, and let’s not forget my little vintage caravan makeover! Long before I had a home of my own, I revamped a damp and dirty old Aline Sprite caravan to create an office/spare room in the garden.

I hope you enjoy browsing through some of my DIY projects and thrifty makeovers and that they give you inspiration for your own home an garden makeovers – you can do it!

Please do vote for me if you like what you see, I’m eternally grateful for your help to get to the Interior Blog Awards shortlist. Thank you!
