Fashion tips for curvy girls

Advertisement feature

I’ve been looking through a lot of different fashion blogs recently, and one thing really stood out – hardly any of them have articles and blog posts dedicated to curvy girls. I think it’s a shame that there’s isn’t as much advice and fashion tips out there for fuller figures. To help rectify this, I’ve dedicated this whole blog post to curvy women. Hopefully, these tips will help you find some awesome clothes and styles to suit you!

Accessories Work Wonders

Accessories can help you update a wardrobe without having to spend a lot on clothes. And they can also liven up very basic outfits. So rather than spending hundreds of pounds on a very on-trend outfit, you could update your look with just a few statement jewellery pieces to get the look for less.

Figure Out The Trends That Work

Not every trend works for everyone. This goes for slim girls and larger girls. More often than not, if a trend doesn’t work for you, it’s because it doesn’t suit your body shape, not because it doesn’t fit. So, the best way to figure out whether or not a fashion trend is going to help you look good, is to work out your body shape. That should give you an idea of the shapes and colours of clothes to avoid, and will make shopping easier because you know what styles will look good. Don’t worry if you can’t pull off one of the current hottest trends – there will be lots of classic looks that you will be able to adopt or a different trend may suit you perfectly.

Look For Size-Friendly Brands

There are certain brands and shops that specialize in clothes for curvy women and will often make the hottest trends in sizes to fit your shape perfectly. These will stock a lot of plus size dresses, jeans, and tops, so there’s much more choice to suit your figure. One of the best things about shopping at these shops is that the clothes will all be designed for fuller figures, with patterns that are cut with your size in mind, so you don’t have to worry about certain items of clothing being too tight in parts.

Flaunt Your Best Bits

We all have a part of our body that we don’t really like, and other parts that we think are our assets. So you need to pick out all of your assets and make sure that you flaunt them as much as possible. For many women, their legs are their best part of their body, and they like to wear skirts and dresses that show them off. Other women may want a figure-hugging dress that enhances their amazing bum. Whatever it is, don’t be ashamed to flaunt your best asset!

Pop With Colour

There are a few reasons why you should add some pops of color to your outfit. Firstly, bright shades can really cheer you up. Not only that, but they have the power to draw attention to certain parts of your outfit. And that’s also a great way to highlight your assets! For example, if you love your cleavage, then you might want to wear a bright yellow t-shirt in the summer. It’ll keep you looking very summery and will show of your gorgeous shape! The same goes for pattern too – it’ll draw the eye and highlight your favourite features.
