How to make a DIY snowball letters decoration

I know it might feel a little early to be putting up the decorations but I wanted to share this project with you asap, as I’m not just showing you how to make snowy letters – I’m giving my own project away to one lucky reader!

The giveaway is running for the next couple of weeks and I want to get the letters posted to you in time for Christmas, so I can think of no better reason to publish a blog post about my Christmas mantlepiece in November. Let’s get into the project and read on to enter my giveaway below…

Here’s quick video of the project where you can see the step-by-step instructions on how to make these pretty snowball letters to decorate your home for Christmas:

Now, onto the giveaway! The prize includes 4 hobbycraft wooden letters, decorated by me (!) with snowy cotton wool balls, iridescent pom-poms and teeny tiny white snowballs. It took me a good few hours to craft this project so I hope you’ll like the finished result now that you’ve seen how it’s done.

Please note that the tiny skiing figures and Christmas trees aren’t included in the prize as they belong to my husband, but this gives you an idea of how you can add your own personal touch this mantlepiece decoration when you receive it. How about adding a tiny Olaf snowman? Or stick a prancing unicorn on the top?? Or just display the big SNOW letters on your shelves, windowsill or mantlepiece as they are. There are plenty of ways to enter the giveaway via the rafflecopter below – I hope someone likes my decorations enough to enter the competition – fingers crossed!!
