When it comes to men’s fashion, choosing on-trend pieces to add to his wardrobe can be a minefield. Thankfully, fashion experts at It’s Hot have agreed to share their knowledge about the coolest trends for 2018, so read on to find out how you can get the look yourself…Fashion can be tricky, especially men’s fashion. What you think looks good on your man may not be what he actually likes to wear. Not only that, fashion trends are always changing every year, every month, all the time. So, what are you to do? There is a good chance that your man couldn’t care less about fashion so this is your chance to make him look good and turn heads. We are here to guide you in the right direction and help you pick out something dapper. Style and trends often change, so some of the styles that were outdated are back. Remember the fanny packs from the 80’s and 90’s? They are back, can you believe it?! There are tons of styles that were no-nos that are the thing to wear now so here’s a quick guide to getting it right…

ATHLETIC WEAR

Athletic wear has been in style for quite some time. Ever since the early days of hip-hop when Run DMC was wearing Adidas sweats. It is also a trend that does not seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. For good reason too, it is stylish, comfortable and you can wear it to the gym or for a casual day out. The major downside is that named brands like Nike and Adidas can get pricey.

TEAM APPAREL

This is one trend that will continue to remain for the foreseeable future. People love sports and as long as people love sports this trend will last. Every sports fan wants to represent their team and people love to connect with other sports fans. You see another person wearing your favourite sports team shirt and you just want to say something to them. This is always a great pick for layering up – and you can always wear it to sporting events or down the pub if nothing else. It’s always great to have sports apparel in the closet.

WEARING BLACK

Black is making a comeback. Hey, that rhymes! Not that it has never gone or never become unstylish, so don’t forget to include this in your arsenal of clothes. You can wear it any time of the year, although, it’s best in the winter because it soaks up that little sunlight that there is to help keep you warm. It also seems to be ok to wear black in in the summer this year as well. So, don’t worry about including black in the wardrobe stack. Keep this in mind as you go shopping and you can not go wrong.

SOMETHING SPARKLY

Everyone loves to show off once in a while or wear that piece of shiny jewellery to accessorise their outfit. Let’s not act like men are the exception to this rule! Watches, chains, rings and even sunglasses add an element of style and class to any outfit. With the influence of hip-hop culture, diamonds have become a trend that will continue to grow. If you treat your man to a jewellery on his birthday he will always think of you when he looks down at that ring and appreciate that you got it for him. It is usually best to avoid the giant chain retailers because they have significant price mark-ups, and you can usually get the best prices on diamond men’s rings online. These four looks are all timeless trends for 2018 and beyond. These dapper designs don’t seem to be going out of style anytime soon and will always look great. There are some more unusual trends that seem to be coming up in 2018, but those may be here today and gone tomorrow, so we wouldn’t exactly stack the wardrobe with them! Stick to these four tips and your man will be sure to look swish all year round.

Thanks to ItsHot.com for sharing this inspirational guest post today! It’s not only full of fantastic fashion advice, but it’s also given me the chance to have a day off and day out with my husband (who is looking rather dapper today, thanks to these tips!)
