I’ve tried out layering a couple of polishes in the same tone to create a deep chocolate nail colour and wear a different effect on each hand. The left hand has 2 layers of a gorgeous glossy Ted Baker medium brown shade, which brushed on perfectly and didn’t feel too thick and gloopy whilst still covering excellently.
And the right hand had an extra layer of sparkly Primark tan polish ‘Glo Baby Glo’ over the top which is UV reactive – it has a dense silver glitter finish and it glows under UV light – so great for nights out!
I liked both looks, but I think I’d stick with the glossy brown for everyday wear and although I quite liked having each hand painted in the same shade but with a different finish, I felt that someone might notice my combo and think I’d forgotten to finish painting my left hand!
