Floral fashion update ~ my pretty new tea dress

You may remember my article last week on how I am embracing the floral fashion trend this summer and my massive stash of pretty floral clothing (below!) – none of which fits me properly and I just don’t have the time to sit and my sewing machine and adjust  them to fit. I therefore went on a little online shopping spree (see, it IS dangerous to work on the internet all day..!) to buy some floral bits and pieces that actually fit! If you recall, I’d had my eye on a tea-dress from Bon Prix but when I’d gone back on the website to buy it, it was nowhere to be found – completely out of stock. I was gutted and half-heartedly carried on shopping for some other floral dresses.

I went back on their website at the end of the week and optimistically typed in tea-dress in the search bar, and I couldn’t believe my eyes when my dress popped up! It was back in stock – but only in the colour I wanted (pink, of course!) and ONLY in my size! Can you believe it? If that’s not meant to be, I don’t know what is! You’ve never seen anyone buy something so quickly as I did when I saw my dress was in stock. And I’d used a voucher code which gave me free delivery and 20% off – so I paid no more than £5.50 for my dress, what a bargain! It arrived the next day, so here is the little beauty:

I know I’m going on about it, but I swear I’ve not been paid to say this: I’m so impressed with Bon Prix! It was never a shop that I would have considered shopping at before – I thought it was a mail order catalogue for people of my grandparents age! I’d had this idea in my head that I’d never find something on a website like that for people like me but there are such fantastic bargain items in the summer sale that I don’t even care if anyone thinks I’m shopping in an ‘uncool’ store… I’ve got a pretty tea dress in a gorgeous floral fabric for little over a fiver and I don’t care who knows where it came from!
