I’ve been making these easy party snacks throughout the festive period and I thought I would share the recipe with you today so that you can make it yourself for any New Years parties you might be hosting or attending! As a guest it’s always a good idea to turn up with plateful of tasty treats and this one couldn’t be more simple to make. The pastry only has three ingredients, and you could even use ready-made pastry if you prefer – then it’s just a case of filling your pastry with delicious pizza flavours! Here’s the world’s quickest step-by-step on how to make this recipe:
Ingredients for a rough puff pastry: 225g plain flour, 150g margarine, pinch of salt, cold water to mix.
- Mix the flour and salt before stirring the margarine in with a knife.
-
Mix to a stiff dough with water before rolling out on a floured surface and cutting into a rectangle.
-
Spread a layer of tomato puree onto the pastry base before grating on cheese and sprinkling some fresh or dried herbs to get that pizza flavour.
-
Lay another sheet of rolled-out pastry on top of the pizza base and cut into strips.
-
Twist each strip and brush milk onto the uppermost parts of the pastry to glaze.
-
Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Let me know if you try out this recipe for your festive celebrations and I hope you have a lovely new years eve party!
