As we enter the new year, many of us have made a resolution to live a more positive and fulfilling life. But how do we do that when there is so much negativity in the world? A powerful way to maximise your potential and ensure you are drawing the best things possible into your life is by finding and following your passion. That’s what Elaine Howard’s book Passion in the Bones is all about.
I’ve read it this month and it’s given me the boost I needed to make 2019 an amazing year. Even though my writing is my main passion in life, through reading Elaine’s inspirational book I rediscovered some other passions of mine – dance and makaton. The advice and encouragement contained in these chapters is not only a joy to read, it’s truly motivational too and I’ve already made changes to my life. And the fantastic news is that Elaine has kindly offered a copy of Passion in the Bones to give away to one lucky reader. Read on to enter the competition and to get Elaine’s suggestions for injecting a little dinosaur style into your home, here’s what she suggests…
If you need a little inspiration on your quest to live a more passionate life, I suggest taking a closer look at the dinosaurs. Yes, I said dinosaurs! After all, they were some of the most successful and fiercest creatures to ever walk the planet. They were successful because they not only survived but they thrived in a harsh world. My passion happens to be paleontology, so I’m constantly reminded how powerful and awesome dinosaurs were. But, if you need a little reminder, I suggest having some of these cool items in your home.
When we are pursuing our true passion, our enthusiasm produces a positive energy that will get the positives flowing in our lives. For our passion (i.e., favourite area of interest) to keep those positives flowing, it is important to learn as much as we can about it and share our knowledge with others. If, in the process, you end up with a home library of books about your favourite topic, I suggest these bookends to remind you of the enormous power of having a passion!
T Rex wall clock
In order to find your passion and pursue it to a degree that it transforms your life in a positive way, you must actually make time for it. That does not mean you must devote a lot of time to it. It just means you must make some time for it on a regular basis. Be inspired to make time for your passion with this dinosaur wall clock!
Dinosaur Rug
To get where they were going and find their next meal, dinosaurs needed to stay focused and keep moving forward. Likewise, as human beings we must keep moving forward in order to pursue our passion, keep the positives flowing, and achieve our goals in life. This cool rug should keep you motivated to keep moving in the right direction!
Lace T Rex bedding
While human beings do not have the size or physical strength of Tyrannosaurus rex, we are, in fact, even more fierce because we all have the power to make a positive difference in the world. That is the most important power of all. If you find yourself questioning your self-worth or someone makes you feel less than confident, channel your inner T. Rex and know how powerful you really are. This bedding will not only keep you warm but will remind you to stay fierce!
Yogasaurs gym bag
In order to maximize our passion and potential, it is important to take care of ourselves physically. Staying fit helps us to maintain a balance and be the best we can be in other areas of our lives. Be inspired to make regular trips to the gym or health club with this dinosaur gym bag!
If you’re not already pursuing your passion, make 2019 the year you find it. As you set out on your passion journey, don’t forget the dinosaurs and remember that you too are a powerful creature!
