After sharing photos of Sian’s beautiful Daisy caravan with you yesterday (and the fabulous vintage party package giveaway – check it out here!) I felt a strong urge to hang out in my own caravan and enjoy the lovely weather. So when I finished work yesterday, I took brewed up a cuppa and took myself outside for a little alone time in my caravan. With the sun shining, bees buzzing and birds singing, I threw open the windows and properly ‘aired’ my caravan for the first time this season.I usually pop on the radio while I work in the caravan, but this time I wanted to enjoy the sounds of nature while I rested with my tea and take some quiet time to enjoy my favourite magazines. I rarely find the time to catch up with my subscriptions but I find it so much more relaxing to flick through a magazine than I do to browse on the iPad so I really cherish this time in the lighter evenings to be able to enjoy a good read. This week I’ve added a few new soft furnishings to the caravan – these gorgeous biscuit cushions – and they made the whole space look so cosy and inviting as I sat down with my tea and matching jammie dodgers and party rings! The cushions are by Sass and Belle and I picked them up from the Lisa Angel shop (based in Norwich) through NotOnTheHighStreet.com.I was planning to buy a couple of the party ring cushions but when I saw the jammie dodger with felt heart and custard cream cushion (my husband’s favourite biscuit) I was smitten. I found out that the set of four actually saved me £11 compared to buying each cushion individually so I went for it! I’m so pleased that I invested in these cushions because they are so cosy and suit the caravan perfectly.

Just the addition of these four cushions has given the space even more personality and I’m now on the lookout for a bourbon cushion to match! Perhaps I’ll have a go at making one?!
Of course, it wasn’t long before Cookie came looking for me and joined me for a rest in the caravan. As you can see she really approves of my new cushions too! She did actually leave a little muddy paw print on the yellow party ring, but I couldn’t stay grumpy with her for long – she looks so cute all snuggled up on the cushions, purring away. Thank goodness the cushion covers can be taken off and washed!
Anyway, onto my big news – my little vintage caravan is going to be featured in ‘Caravan’ magazine here in the UK. I was super-chuffed when the features editor got in touch to see if an interview would be possible and of course I said yes! The feature should appear in the September issue of Caravan magazine (published in August) so I really can’t wait to see the finished article! I’ll be sure to share the feature here on the blog when it is published later in the summer and in the meantime I’ve been enjoying the current April issue, getting inspiration for my summer holidays – Cornwall looks like a fabulous place to camp! So with this exciting news, my new cushions arriving and my feature about Daisy Caravan yesterday, my life has revolved around vintage caravans all week! And that’s something I’m really happy about! Hi Lacie, thanks for your message. Sorry I don’t sell products on my website, these are just my own cushions:) I got them from Not On The Hight Street many years ago so you might still be able to find them for sale there?
