Okay, I admit it. I’ve not bought a single Christmas gift for my husband yet. I’m guessing that next week will be a busy one for me as I scramble around to fill that stocking. You would imagine your husband is one of the easiest persons to shop for, but it might take longer to decide than you think. What I have done is put together this little gift guide for husbands, inspired by the things he loves most. When buying gifts for your man, you have to make sure you pick things that serves his needs and likes.
SHAVING SUBSCRIPTION
You might have seen your man occasionally complain that he has run out of razors or is unable to shave because his beard trimmer isn’t charged. This regular problem could solved by getting him a shaving club membership, which is a year-long subscription. Every month, the membership will give him a box with fresh razors and other shaving items like creams and oils. Doing this will not only help him to stay perfectly groomed, but you’ll also be able to avoid that prickly stubble!
NEW TOOLS
Many men would also appreciate if you got them something ‘useful’ that would help them to be more productive. My husband has already hinted that he’d like some packs of screws for Christmas! If you’re going to buy tools, it could be something small for his Christmas stocking, or an investment tool for his ‘main’ present. If your fella frequently does work in garden, it would come in handy to get him a Husqvarna Chainsaw, which is ideal for logging. If he’s a DIY fan, maybe a new drill would be well-received (precisely what I bought for him for his birthday this year!).
PERSONALISED WALLET
Men love their wallets (my husband will wait until his one literally falls apart before getting a new one!) and when you choose to gift your husband a wallet it’s something that he will use every day. So one of the best choices you could make is to make him a personalised leather wallet. You can sew it yourself or buy a customised one with his initials, or have a message embossed inside so that he always sees it when he opens up the wallet to buy something.
SMART WATCH
If you’re going to blow the budget, this gift is ideal. Men love timepieces that are unique so if you choose to get your husband a watch for Christmas, don’t just go for an ordinary one. Why not go one step further with a smartwatch? It’ll not only complement his style, but also come in handy when he wants to manage his day. The choose a watch that can be synced with your Android or Apple devices to allow notification alerts and help him keep track of work as well as the time.
CUSTOMISED FURNITURE PIECES
Okay, this is something of a shared gift because we both wish to infuse our living room with a unique essence and have our eye on some custom decor options. For example, you can choose a custom coffee table made from reclaimed wood and add a glass top to display your favourite items beneath. The power of customization lets you imprint your personality onto each piece. You can swap ordinary drawer handles with antique finds or paint chair legs in vibrant hues.
Another great option is a modular sofa, which is perfect for anyone looking for customizable and easily reconfigurable seating for their home like we are. You can tailor upholstery with fabrics that resonate with your style, like vibrant tones or cosy textures to create a modular sofa for anyone‘s taste. These personalised furniture touches make your living room a comfortable extension of you.
What do you think of these ideas? And what kind of gifts will you be buying for your husband this year? Leave me a comment below and let me know – I need more inspiration!
