How’s your January been? I’ve had a busy month so I thought I’d share some of my away-from-the-blog projects with you, including an article I wrote for Reloved magazine, and an interior design accolade..!I’m going to share the most exciting news straight away – I’ve made the list of the Top 100 Interior Design Bloggers! I was shocked to receive the email from Smart Style Bathrooms to let me know that I’d been chosen for this accolade – I can’t believe that I was lucky enough to be picked. It’s a list of international bloggers from all around the world so I’m delighted to have made the cut. Plus, some of my best blogging buddies – Victoria from Apartment Number 4 and Lucy from Lucy Loves Ya – are both in the list too!
COST-SAVING DECORATING IDEAS FOR THE NEW YEAR
When I was asked by Handywork Solutions to get involved in their article on cost-saving decorating ideas for the new year, I decided to share my ‘new year DIY resolutions’. I wrote about my tips for upcycling my kitchen – I want to save money on buying new units by simply painting the cupboard doors and adding a new worktop in a lighter colour to freshen up the space. I’m starting work on that plan this month and will be sure to let you know how I get on!
RELOVED FEATURE ON BEATEN GREEN
Have you seen this month’s Reloved magazine? Check out Issue 51 because I’ve written an article on interior designer Kerry Knight from BeatenGreen.co.uk – and it made the front cover! I had such fun chatting with Kerry while I was interviewing her for the piece and I’m really pleased with the finished article – it fills 9 pages of the magazine! The photos of her upcycled home are stunning, and it’s exactly the kind of cottage I’d love to live in. Here are some snaps of the pages and you can pick up a copy of the magazine in WH Smith, some supermarkets or download the digital edition now.
I‘M A B&M STORES AMBASSADOR
In other news, I’ve officially become a B&M Stores Ambassador! I’m really proud to be working with B&M Stores as I’m already such a fan of their low prices and bargain homewares. Not a week goes by when I don’t pop into B&M for something – I even get most of my store-cupboard food from there because it costs so much less than tins, packets and cereals at the supermarket. I’ll be sure to let you know when I get a chance to write about their bargains on the blog and will keep you up-to-date with what discounts you can find in store.
Hope your January was great too! 🙂
