Amazing news – My DIY pallet bar project was featured on channel 4!

When my pallet bar popped up on the TV last week, I couldn't believe my eyes. It appeared on Kirstie and Phil's Love It or List It show and I am chuffed to bits! Here's a video of that exciting moment..!

When my pallet bar popped up on the TV last week, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Sure, I’ve spotted it on many websites and blog posts but I’ve never seen it on the telly before – and I had no idea that it was going to happen. It appeared on Kirstie and Phil’s Love It or List It show and I am chuffed to bits!

I wasn’t actually watching the show at the time but when I picked up my phone half an hour later, I had loads of messages on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook. Apparently ALL my friends had spotted the pallet bar on Love It or List It and were excited – one friend sent me a video she’d taken of the show and another friend said that they cheered when they saw the pallet bar pop up on the screen!

I’ve never turned on catch-up so quickly! We fast-forwarded the show to around the middle and watched in excitement. And sure enough, there it was – my little pallet bar project on Kirstie Allsopp’s Pinterest account! She was using it as an example of how to turn a garden into a space you’ll love – how exciting!

I’ve shared a quick video of that exciting moment on my Instagram if you want to watch it…

Considering that there’s so many different pins of my pallet bar out there (other websites tend to use my photo to promote their own blog posts) I was delighted to see that the pin Kirstie was using was actually my own pin from my blog post about the pallet bar project wahoo! It’s on her Pinterest board for Julie and Allen’s house if you want to see it for yourself.

And you can currently watch the episode on channel4.com – it’s Series 5, Episode 1 – Julie & Allen’s house in Stoke. I wonder if they ever did DIY a pallet bar for themselves?? I’ve had a few people contact me on social media to let me know that they’re having a go at DIYing their own pallet bar and I’m always excited to see their results. One lovely Instagrammer actually sent me some photos of her own bar (it’s epic!) so I’ll share that on my blog soon!

And do let me know if you’ve had a go at DIYing your own pallet bar too – I’d love to see photos of your own project. Here are the step-by-step instructions to build your own pallet bar.

PIN IT FOR LATER

(…and it might end up on Channel 4 haha!)
