Sure, you’re not going to find any bespoke suits, and the wedding dress isn’t going to be perfectly tailored to you, but it will be considerably cheaper than buying anything custom made. Just be sure you leave yourself some time and spare cash to have any alterations made before the big day. If you definitely don’t want your wedding dress to be off the rack, then consider buying more budget-friendly accessories from a high street store, instead of going for diamond necklaces and designer shoes.

Visit Some Charity Shops
This idea may be an absolute no-no for some people, but there is no real reason for it to be. Almost every charity shop that you look in will have at least one wedding dress on sale, so if you’re not dead-set against second-hand clothing, this may be an interesting option for you. Some charities, such as Oxfam, have specific wedding sections, from which you can purchase dresses, suits, decorations, and more. You should also bear in mind that, just because you’re looking in a charity shop, it doesn’t mean that all of the clothes have been worn before. Some may have been kindly donated brand new, so don’t be too quick to dismiss the idea.
Consider Renting
If you don’t get too attached to stuff and aren’t too bothered about keeping your wedding dress or suit, then you might want to consider renting your wedding attire. Often, you can rent an entire outfit, including shoes, a veil, and jewellery for a fraction of the price of keeping the outfit. Of course, you won’t be able to alter these clothes, as they will have to be returned, but you will have a large selection, most of which will be the latest fashion, straight from the runway.
Your wedding needs to be special, but special doesn’t need to mean the same thing as expensive. If you don’t want to spend too much money on one day or have a smaller budget than some, then these ideas may be helpful to keep your wedding expenses low. Remember that your wedding day is to celebrate you spending the rest of your life with the person you love, not about how many diamantes you can fit on your dress.
