Tuesday Shoesday ~ It’s April Fool’s Day but these are serious shoe bargains!

The shops are full of it. Everywhere you look there are red signs and blue crosses. Yes, it’s sale time again. What is it this time? Mid-season sale, Spring sale, Easter sale? I guess it doesn’t matter, all that’s important is that there are massive savings to be had on lots of summer stock and you’ll be able to get plenty of wear out of your sale purchases at this time of year. Investing in a sale treat now is much more sensible than buying woolly jumpers in January (which I did, with dreams of February snow and freezing temperatures in my head) yet the weather has stayed unseasonably mild ever since and those scarves and coats have remained unworn. Now that is a waste of money in my book! So if I want to get the most out of my purchases I guess I should buy something in the these midseason sales and of course I’m going to be looking at all the deals that we can get on summer shoes.

First of all, I’ve had a browse through the online high street stores and have been keeping an eye out specifically for summer shoes – I’m talking sandals, wedges and pretty flats and here’s what I’ve come up with: I love these wedges from Clarks and the best thing is that you can browse online and order the shoes you like to be tried on in store without spending a penny! One of my gripes is seeing a bargain online them going into the high street shop and not being able to find the product I’m after, so I’d much rather get a guaranteed bargain when I head to Clarks to try on the shoes that I’ve already selected online. While I was on the Clarks website I spotted 20% off all bags so I’ve chosen this pretty pastel pink satchel for carrying summer goodies around. Another high street store that I can rely on to have some fantastic bargains is Debenhams, plus the Bhs sale always leads me to plenty of surprising footwear treats.

In the world of online sales shopping, the world is your oyster. I’ve spent hours browsing the bargains to bring you the best footwear deals of the sales and here goes: My first favourites are all from ASOS (where else?!) above. These floral platforms, laser cut heels and pretty flats are all from New Look and are all under £12.50 but pleasingly they are all stocked online at ASOS so you can get them delivered for free and try them on in the comfort of your own home. I’ve used ASOS a lot recently and have been so impressed with how easy it is to return things that don’t fit me or don’t quite look right so I know I can shop with confidence. My favourite flats can be found at AX Paris where these cute pumps below are only £7.99 and £9.99 and I just know I will wear them all summer long – especially the floral shoes, which are bang on trend. Of course the sparkly ones are fantastic too and I think I’ll feel like a princess in them!

There are great 70% off deals to be found at Fashion Union where these classy strappy shoes are £15 (perfect for a wedding?) and you can add a pop of juicy colour to your summer wardrobe with these £10 platforms in green, orange, pink or yellow – what a bargain! Well, that’s my pay-packet spent for this month (!) but at least I’ll be getting a few pairs of shoes that I’ll be able to wear all spring and summer and get my money’s worth out of them. I could have carried on forever with more bargains from Missguided and La Redoute but we’d be here all day, so check them out for yourself and let me know if you buy any lovely footwear treats for yourself in the sales.

Also, don’t forget that your own favourite shoes could be featured here on the blog during April in my second “readers’ shoes” article – here’s the link to the first post – so please send me a snap of your fave shoes and a little bit of text about why you like them and I’ll share them on the blog soon, with links back to your own blog/website if you have one. Send any contributions in to cassie@cassiefairy.co.uk thank you 🙂
