I’ve already had some very exciting news this month so I thought I’d write a quick post to share all with you..!
TOP 30 HOME DECOR BLOG LIST
I’m really excited to tell you that my blog has been included in the list of the Top 30 Popular Home Decoration Blogs this month.
As a thrifty blogger, I always aim to decorate on a shoestring budget, and it makes me SO happy to be recognised for home decor and design. It just goes to show that you don’t need to spend a fortune to create a home you love if you recycle, upcycle and shop thriftily!
DESIGN ICON COLUMN IN RECLAIM MAGAZINE
For this month’s Design Icon feature I’ve written about something really dear to me – my husband’s Dansette record player. He inherited it from his grandparents and it’s one of our most treasured possessions. So I was over the moon when I was able to write an article about the history of the Dansette company.
When I was doing my research I discovered just how popular LPs are these days – the statistics surprised me – so it’s no wonder that this retro brand is in as much demand today as it was in the middle of the last century. In my article I shared a list of ways that you can spot a genuine item when you’re shopping for a retro Dansette player, along with some resources for buying parts and having your old unit renovated.
Check out page 32 in Issue 38 of Reclaim magazine to read more about this design icon (in shops until 23rd May).
BEST GARDEN PALLET IDEAS ROUND-UP
I’m really chuffed that pallet planter project has been included in this pallet project round up by HomeBNC. AND they’ve credited my blog correctly for the project – which makes a change from all the businesses who’ve shared my pallet bar without any credit (!)
Nonetheless, I’m so excited that my pallet bar project has ‘gone viral’! I never thought I’d experience what it’s like to have your content and photos popping up all over the internet but it HAS happened with this project! I’ve had countless messages from friends who’ve told me that someone they know (from all over the UK – the world!) has showed them pallet project and they’ve been able to say ‘I know who made that!’
That’s just SO exciting for me 😀 Plus (and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw this) last week I had over 6000 visits to my website in just ONE DAY, with most other days reaching at least 2000 views – unbelievable. It’s hard to believe that so many people are visiting my blog! And if you haven’t seen any of the shares, tweets, pins or photos of my pallet DIY project already, here’s the link to the pallet bar post on my blog – hope you like it!
